Karyn grew up in the Vancouver, WA area and considers Long Beach her second home after spending time as a child on the Oregon/Washington coast.  Karyn currently resides in Denver, CO with her husband Evan, daughter, dog (Australian Cobberdog-look that up), and two cats.  The family enjoys traveling, skiing, and board game nights.  Karyn is a retired Certified Surgical Technologist and Educator, and when not serving in the community, she enjoys pottery and a great read.
