The Long Beach Peninsula
Nestled in the southwest corner of the state, the Long Beach Peninsula has something for everybody. Long Beach offers beautiful views, delicious food, unique museums, lush environments, and vibrant shops, not to mention the expansive beach. A 2.5 hour drive from Portland and a 3.5 hour drive from Seattle, Long Beach is accessible to the rest of the Pacific Northwest while still being an enticing getaway. Astoria, Oregon, with lively markets and attractions, is less than an hour away. The coast provides ample opportunities for relaxation, exploration, and fun at your own pace (including a four-legged friend).

Whether you want to see the sights of downtown Long Beach, learn about the history of the peninsula, or explore the surrounding natural beauty at your own pace, there are plenty of things to do. The town of Long Beach provides shopping, bakeries, restaurants, bike rentals, and a boardwalk with beautiful ocean views. Amazing local seafood, craft beer and cider, and live music keeps everyone entertained. Kids can fly kites on the beach, visit the arcade, play a round of mini golf, and race go karts. The peninsula is famous for clamming, fishing, and the WA International Kite Festival. The area also offers a variety of beautiful environments and views with a rich history, such as Cape Disappointment State Park, Willapa National Wildlife Refuge, and Leadbetter Point State Park. The Discovery Trail supplies opportunity to explore the peninsula by foot or bike, and the beach is easily accessible for walks, horseback rides, sunset views, and nights by the campfire.
